BBB is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to lead our talented team of business development managers and representatives at our Meridian office location. If you are a highly skilled people manager with a knack for motivating and developing talent, this is the perfect opportunity for you!Location: Boise, Idaho (Relocation Required; Package Offered)Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 4 business development managers, each overseeing a team of 10 representatives.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.Performance Management:
  • Drive the team to meet and exceed sales targets for service-based subscription products.
  • Implement and manage performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Recognize and reward high achievers, reinforcing our commitment to sales excellence.Training & Development:
  • Identify development needs within the team and align training programs to enhance skills.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to managers, enabling them to develop their leadership skills.Sales & Revenue Growth:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the business development teams, ensuring effective management of sales pipelines.
  • Support the team in closing deals by providing guidance and removing obstacles.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.Client Relationship Management:
  • Step in as needed to support negotiations and ensure client satisfaction.Reporting & Analysis:
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 3-5 years in a team manager role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a business development or sales team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in selling service-based subscription products is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools; experience with HubSpot Sales Hub is preferred.Key Competencies:
