Job Description:
A company is looking for an Associate Medical Director to
provide medical oversight and expertise in healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical oversight and expertise in appropriateness and
medical necessity of healthcare services
Conduct retrospective reviews of claims and appeals, resolving
grievances related to medical quality of care
Develop and implement medical policies while supporting population
health initiatives
Required Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school and completion of
residency training program
5+ years of experience in a related field
Current medical license in North Carolina or willingness to obtain
by start date
Board certification in an ABMS/AOA recognized clinical
specialty
Preferred specialties include Pain Management, Orthopedic, and
Family Practice
